  1. Hi Kathleen! That’s your name. It just came back to me today. Couldn’t remember either first or last name but I remember You. Was telling my 84 year old housemate/landlady, tennis professional Mary Ann Plante, that I played tennis once in my life. Tried to. “My partner was a poet.” Do you remember we were tennis partners, one semester, was it?, at Harvard Radcliffe back in the 1970’s. I was grad student in German Literature at the time.

Greatly enjoyed reading the pieces of your writing on this website. Would like to finish all the books but as always no money for such frivolities as new books. (Have spent my life as an unpublished writer and anti-nuclear activist.)

Since we last saw each other in Cambridge I’ve lived in Concord, Mass, Sudbury, Groton, Williamsburg, South Hadley — yes! — then Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and now Florida. Lordy, never expected Florida. Followed my little grandson Jonah, for whom I live! here. Wherever daughter moves I follow, to be in his life. Would be very fun to meet somewhere for lunch. But I don’t suppose you come to Winter Park, by Orlando. Do you live in the Boston area when you’re not in France?

I visited Robert Frost’s house in 1969 or ’70 and it was great, or that’s my memory. No more? Darn it. I planned to go back.
